Hanae - Mother-of-pearl flower short necklace

A short mother-of-pearl flower necklace, on a hammered gold ring

This necklace combines a small carved white mother-of-pearl flower with a hammered and diamond-cut gold ring, made of 3-micron gold-plated brass. Hanae means "flower" in Japanese, and the circle is, in Japanese culture, a symbol of harmony and completeness: it is notably found in the ensō, the circle drawn in a single gesture in Zen calligraphy.
