Tsubaki - Japanese paper note card

A Japanese paper card, camellia motif

This correspondence card, in 82 x 128 mm format, is adorned with a pattern of red and pink camellias on a red background. As the paper is cut from a larger sheet, the framing of the pattern varies slightly from one card to another. It is sold with its matching envelope.

In Japan, the camellia (tsubaki) is associated with admiration and understated beauty; it holds a special place in the tea ceremony.
