This chiyogami paper features the same pattern as our red version: a flock of white cranes (tsuru) in flight, here on a teal background traversed by fine golden waves.
In Japan, the crane symbolizes longevity, peace, and good fortune.
A lamp handmade in France
The paper is cut and assembled by hand in our workshop to become a cylindrical lampshade.
When lit, the light passes through the washi and highlights every detail of the pattern: the cranes and the golden waves.
